Pencil sketching, monochromatic and contrasted

Everyone at school had in their possession these famous « pencils ». Perhaps you have already taken a drawing course, and understand the difference between a HB and a 4B?

The art of pencil sketching is much more difficult than it seems at first glance: you have to know how to draw, use various techniques such as hatching and shades of gray, know how to press or not on the tip, understand lights and shadows...

The sketches that you are about to discover are the result of the software that I develop, which is called WoA! (for Work of Art, it is also an onomatopoeia expressing a pleasant surprise). All are from existing photos, which you can find in the other galleries.

When I am finishing a picture, I hold some God-made object up to it - a rock, a flower, the branch of a tree or my hand - as a final test. If the painting stands up beside a thing man cannot make, the painting is authentic. If there's a clash between the two, it's bad art.
